WELCOME!!!


My name is Jessica Johnston, and I am the designer and owner of SPARKLES.  I have always dreamed of owning my own little store. Something bright and fun where the imagination can run wild. In 2006 I became a mommy stayed at home with my daughter Tatum for 2 years while my husband Ben worked in the Oil Field.  On July 4th of 2008 I decided I was going to go for it....I was going to open my store. My Grand opening was exactly 3 months later....looking back now I STILL can't believe I did it and now I am actually living my dream!!! SPARKLES has already come a long way since the day I opened my doors...I can't wait to see what it will be like in the months to come :)

I make hand-painted children's furniture with custom designs that reflect imagination and playfulness.  Most of the time I seek out and paint old furniture to recycle, giving them new life and character but I also like to use new unfinished pieces.  Each piece is sanded, painted and then sealed with a polyurethane coat.  I love to customize my pieces, knowing that each one is "one of a kind." Although I will not duplicate an already finished piece, I will create a similar one upon request.

If you already have a piece of furniture that you would like for me to paint for you, just call me and we will set up a time for you to bring it to the store. I charge $25 an hour. Therefor the price doesn't really depend on the size of the piece but the amount of time it takes me to finish it.  I charge extra for rushes...
